Week 28 · 6–12 July 2026 · 6. July 2026

The site was suddenly only a tool.

Week 4 of my public experiment

Astro, Odoo and Design Lab were meant to make The Existonomist visible. At the same time, Energy Owner, adaptive accelerator and RiskMastery pushed several ventures forward. The week said: build the stage, but do not mistake it for the play.

1 · What I expected

  • Build the Existonomist website as a multilingual weeknote instrument.
  • Clarify the design direction and think Odoo in as the commercial layer.
  • Bring the source and venture topics in calmly afterwards.

2 · What really happened

  • On 8 July, Energy Owner Dashboard became a new venture with a concrete business idea, including simulation and documents. We want to offer owners of solar and home-storage systems a comfortable app solution for their energy management.
  • On 9 July, the Existonomist site was built: DE/EN/ES, Design Lab, Odoo integration, successful build. Locally, though. If you are reading this, it has since become a public website.
  • Adaptive accelerator, RiskMastery, ChatGPT curation and Francois trails showed that the site must immediately hold real workshop work.

3 · What this week did to me

01

The stage stood faster than expected

On 9 July, the technical site stood locally: Astro, multilingual setup, design, Odoo bridge. That was a good step. It just was not the real content. A stage is nice. But if you iron the curtain for too long, nobody notices that the play has already started in the next room. And a stage is still not a play.

02

Energy Owner was not a side project

Energy Owner came in as a smart-battery idea and quickly condensed into a full venture: market, competition, pricing, risks, scenarios. The trigger was reading Strom, Tim Meyer’s current book. I am cautious about his recommendations on organisational solutions, but his social and market arguments for electricity are clear. Together, Markus and Francois are taking on the task of bringing sensible energy use closer to end consumers. For The Existonomist, the interesting question is this: how does an idea become a possible undertaking, and where does enthusiasm tip into the duty to examine it?

03

Adaptive accelerator became concrete enough for public view?

The further development of adaptive accelerator received a new HTML page: design of experiment, seven W questions, lottery procedure, voluntary participation. This is no longer just theory. It is an attempt to build organisation in a way that does not treat affected people, decisions and commitment as decoration. This, too, only locally. Because it became clear that communicating adaptive accelerator is much more than further developing it. From that, a new project emerged, and there will be quite a bit more to read about it here.

04

The site received its job

By the end of the week it was clear: The Existonomist does not want to become a status display for my tools. The site should show how I work on ventures, rules, offers and forms of work. Without betraying anyone, open about my sources, but not sterile. Otherwise it stays pretty and empty.

4 · What I take from it

  1. The website is stage and play. This is about more than one main character.
  2. Energy Owner, RiskMastery and adaptive accelerator want to show economic design as living work, not as abstract concepts.
  3. The style must make partnership and venture work visible without revealing too much intimate material about my partners.

Difference

Expected: web architecture. What actually happened: the site immediately received its real task — making the existonomist workshop visible and telling it in a protected way.

Outlook

In week 29, the format has to grow up: less construction-site report, more lived week with people, decisions and boundaries.

Next hypothesis

The Existonomist works when the site does not explain what I am building, but shows what rubbed against me economically during the week.
